Special Pair (Proposal Poem)
When I met you I came home.
I'd spent my life a refugee
at best a sometimes guest,
when I met you I put my things down
and found a lifelong rest.
Your heart is where my home is.
It's room enough for both of us
with love enough to spare,
it's wide enough for a family
of hopes and dreams and cares.
Let's grow old there.
You're beautiful not due to your skin
it's from the light you have within,
God holds you close, and lets me know
that I'll answer for you to Him.
Let's make a garden around your house
and let love long live there,
let's stay forever, and let us never
break God's special pair.
