Seeds
She sows in me the seeds of dreams
that will need a lifetime to blossom;
with the rain from her eyes and the sun from her mind
they'll have years to grow and to prosper.
She has become the earth to me.
I spent my life lost in ideas
which twirled like clouds in the air,
but she brought me down, put my feet on the ground,
her love lightning, frightening and fair.
No-one has ever loved me like she does.
If the world becomes a pile of dust
blown apart by a tyrant's greed,
then her love will remain, alive and unchanged,
sowing its beautiful seeds.
